10 AM till 4 PM each day

Visitors sit in the cockpits of a TWA Convair 880 jetliner, a one-of-a-kind 1950 Martin 202 airliner, a rare Lockheed-designed Bush Plane, a Cobra gunship helicopter, An HH-52A Coast Guard helicopter, an OV-1A Mohawk close support aircraft, our “Little-Cut-Up” aircraft control demonstrator, and the control cab of an Airport Rescue and Fire-Fighting truck.

People, young and old can learn how the flight systems work. Qualified pilots will help guests understand the instruments and controls of these special aircraft.

Admission:

$8.00 Adults
$6.00 seniors and children under 12
2 and under are free.

Founded in 1972, the Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of New Jersey is dedicated to the preservation of the Garden State’s distinguished, two-century aviation and space heritage. The men and women, whose outstanding aeronautical achievements have brought worldwide recognition to the state, are enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

IMPORTANT: All participants should be at Blairstown (1N7) by 2:30 PM.
START AT ANY OF THE ABOVE AIRPORTS —  FLY YOUR OWN ROUTE

HOWEVER YOU MUST BE AT BLAIRSTOWN BY 2:30 PM TO TURN IN YOUR POKER HANDS IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A PRIZE.  (Prizes will be awarded after 2:45 PM and the hands are sorted).

NOTE:    YOU GET ONE CARD PER HAND PER AIRPORT.  You do not have to go to all the airports.  If you skip an airport, cards from that airport can be obtained at Blairstown.

    (The Ninety-Nines mission is to promote fellowship through flight, provide working and scholarship opportunities for women and men, and aviation education in the community, and preserve the unique history of women in aviation.)

Proceeds from the Poker Run are used to fund scholarships for deserving pilots.

**Due to insurance reasons, the following Aircraft will NOT be allowed to fly the Poker Run as registered participants:

    “Ultralights, Hang Gliders, Military aircraft, and any aircraft that can carry fifty or more passengers.”      

        However, this does not mean that you can’t join us at the terminus (Blairstown Airport).

The first award was presented to Meridian Air Charter in recognition for completion of the WYVERN Standard onsite audit.

CHARLES EMERING, SR.

It is with sadness I report the passing of CHARLES EMERING, SR. on June 18, 2013.

Charles Anthony Emering, Sr., age 63, of Butler, N.J., passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Charles was born in Paterson, NJ. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, was a member of VFW Post No 8096 in Butler, NJ and a Assistant Scout Master for Troop 4 in the Boy Scouts. He worked for the F.A.A.in Saddle Brook, NJ as a Safety Inspector, was a former Mayor, Town Council member and was on the Museum Board all in Butler. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 loving years, Judith A.(Lami) Emering, his adored mother Antoinette (Imperato) Emering, his beloved children, Kristen Bulas and husband Matthew and Charles Jr. and his wife Suzanne, his loving siblings, Edward, Anthony and wife Janice, Gene and wife Maria and Carol Young and husband Al, a cherished grandchild Gabriel Blackbird Emering and a dear mother in law, Katherine Demarest. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:30 am on Friday, June 21, 2013 at His Word Ministry, 593 Ringwood Ave, Wanaque, NJ. Entombment to follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Viewing hours will be Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm also at His Word Ministry, Wanaque, NJ.
