Introduction to IS-BAO Workshop

If you have been working on the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) implementation and have not finished the process, or if you would like to learn more about IS-BAO, you should consider attending the IS-BAO Workshop that is being held at ExcelAire, Ronkonkoma, NY on Friday, July 16, 2010.

What to bring: If you have a copy of the IS-BAO and SMS Toolkit, bring those documents to the workshop. Reference copies of the IS-BAO will be available if you do not have this document. Other workshop materials will be provided.

This workshop is designed to assist operators, who are implementing, or considering implementing, the IS-BAO – the business aviation safety Gold Standard. It is open to all interested parties, and is required for new auditor applicants and renewing auditors who have not conducted an IS-BAO audit during their current validity period.

The workshop opens with an overview of the IS-BAO program including the benefits of this program. This session is followed by a detailed discussion of the IS-BAO standards. The third module discusses Safety Management Systems (SMS) and how to begin your IS-BAO and SMS implementation. The workshop concludes with a discussion of the audit process.
